What is a wifi bridge?

A WiFi bridge is a device that connects two different network segments wirelessly, typically extending a wired network over a wireless connection. It can be used to connect two separate networks in different locations, or to connect wired devices to a wireless network.

A WiFi bridge operates by receiving a WiFi signal from an existing wireless network and then rebroadcasting it to create a new network. This allows devices that are not able to connect to a wireless network directly, such as printers, gaming consoles, or older computers, to access the network wirelessly.

WiFi bridges can be useful in situations where running Ethernet cables is not practical or cost-effective, such as in large homes, offices, or outdoor areas. They can also be used to extend the range of an existing WiFi network by creating a new access point at a different location.

Some WiFi bridges also come with additional features such as built-in security settings, multiple Ethernet ports for connecting wired devices, and the ability to create a guest network separate from the main network.
